Management Team

Mr. Balakrishnan joined Power Integrations in 1989, and served the company in key engineering, marketing and business management roles before becoming president and COO in April 2001. He was named CEO and appointed to the company's board of directors in January 2002. He is the chief inventor of the company's innovative TOPSwitch® and TinySwitch® technologies and holds more than 100 patents. Mr. Balakrishnan has more than 30 years of engineering, marketing and management experience, including product-line management responsibility in the networking and advanced peripherals group at National Semiconductor Corporation. He holds a M.S.E.E. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.S.E.E. from Bangalore University, India.

Mr. Bailey joined Power Integrations in November 2004 as vice president of marketing. Prior to joining PI, Mr. Bailey served as vice president of marketing at ChipX, a structured ASIC company. His earlier experience includes Business Management and Marketing Consultant for Sapiential Prime, Inc.., Director of Sales and Business Unit Manager for 8x8, Inc., application engineering management for IIT, Inc. and design engineering roles with LSI Logic, Inmos, Ltd. and Marconi. Mr. Bailey holds a B.Eng. from the University of Birmingham with a concentration in microelectronics and microwave devices

Mr. Bell has served as vice president of engineering since joining Power Integrations in April 2001. During 1999 and 2000 Mr. Bell was vice president of engineering for the professional services group at Synopsys, Inc. From 1996 to 1999, he was vice president of strategic alliances at Cirrus Logic, Inc. From 1995 to 1996 he was vice president and general manager of the application specific product group at National Semiconductor Corporation, and from 1990 to 1994 he served as president and CEO of NovaSensor, a manufacturer of silicon sensors. From 1972 to 1990 he held various senior management positions at Signetics.

Mr. Renouard joined Power Integrations in January 2002 and has served as vice president of worldwide sales since February 2002. From 1999 to 2001, he was vice president of worldwide sales at Zoran Corporation. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Renouard was director of worldwide market development at IDT/Centaur. From 1995 to 1997, he served as national distribution sales manager for Cyrix Corp.

Mr. Roeschlein joined Power Integrations in June 2008 as chief financial officer and secretary. Previously, he served as CFO of Selectica, Inc., a provider of sales configuration and contract management software solutions. Earlier, he was vice president of finance and corporate controller of Ultra Clean Technology, a supplier of subsystems for the semiconductor capital equipment industry. He has also held financial roles at Asyst Technologies, Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, Hewlett-Packard and Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Tomlin has served as vice president of operations since October 2001. From 1981 to 2001, Mr. Tomlin served in a variety of senior management positions in operations, service, logistics and marketing, most recently as vice president of worldwide operations, at Quantum Corporation.

Mr. Walker has served as vice president of corporate development and information technology since June 1995. From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Walker served as vice president of Reach Software. From 1993 to 1994, he was president of Morgan Walker, a consulting company.
